Dear Members: Are you up for the challenge and rewards of being a CPF NB Board Member? The CPF NB Board of Directors is responsible for governance and strategic direction of the provincial network of volunteers. Are you a person who values French as an integral part of Canada, and is dedicated to the promotion and creation of FSL learning opportunities for NB children? We need individuals with a genuine interest in language acquisition, an awareness of issues related to second language learning, and who are willing to promote FSL and liaise with our partners and stakeholders. If you have volunteered in your community, and may have experience on boards, in business, education, management, or legal settings, this is the background we are seeking. Experience creating or reading financial statements is an asset as well. Candidates must have a valid membership with CPF New Brunswick. Board positions are voluntary, and some travel within NB is required. Travel, meals, accommodation, and reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed. The time commitment will vary based on the board’s needs – perhaps as few as a couple of days per month, although you are required to attend all board meeting, scheduled approximately five times per year. For further information about CPF, visit our website at http://www.cpfnb.com. Any current CPF member can nominate another person as a candidate. If you or a friend, are interested, please mail or fax a resume to the attention of Lucille MacKinnon, in care of the CPF NB Branch office, PO Box 4462, Sussex, NB, E4E 5L6 or fax 506 432 6751. Elections will be held at the AGM to be scheduled for the Fall of 2005. |Home Page| |About Us| |Membership| |FAQ's| |News Items| |Articles| |Events| |Services| |Links| |Contact Us|Chapters| |
